Yukari Ishimoto received her first piano lessons at the age of four.  From 1982 antil 1987 she studied conducting under Prof. Seiichi Mitsuishi at the Tokyo college of Music.   From 1987 until 1992 she completed her postgraduate education with Prof. H.-M Rabenstein at the University of Arts Berlin.　At the "International Conductors competition in Cadaqués (Spain)" she reached the semi-final.  Sir Neville Marriner, the head of the Jury, expressed his admiration for her musical talent.   In 2002 she receive a commemorative award from the Mayor of Monpont, a town near Bordeaux in France. In 2004 she received an invitation to a festival concert from the Chopin Academy in Warsaw.
